THE REGION

Located between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Penedo is the only Finnish colony at South America.  Its history began in 1929 when a group of naturalists came from Finland in order to create a new society.

Penedo receives today, tourists from all over the world attracted by its clean and fresh waters, nice climate, beautiful nature and, of course, many shops that sell from a wide range of craftmanship to chocolate and sweets

Three Waterfalls - located at Rio das Pedras, stands out by the formation of 3 small waterfalls.  The largest is about 3 m high.  Its waters are clear and cold, good for bath at of the many "natural pools".

Cachoeira de Deus

"Waterfall from God" - At Rio das Pedras, has only one waterfall, which is the largest of Penedo, with approx. 4m high.  Its waters are clear and cold, good for bath because of a big natural pool.
